Algebra reflection test term 3 2021.

 

On the first test I hardly knew about algebra. When we did the work shops I improved a whole heap on match sticks and triangles. I can find out the formular to patterns and carry on patterns. I have grown knowledge with algebra and can tell my family about my work with algebra.

Teaching, Learning and Observing. By Rory

   For the past 3 days we have been Teaching, Learning and Observing.

On the first day we were learning in unicorns for the first session and the staff room for the second lesson. The next day we were observing. we had to ask questions to the learners and they would answer them.

On the last day we were Teaching  and the students were very focused so we decided to play 3 games of maths tag.

Horouta waka why I want to go?Rory

 HI I am Rory GIFFORD and I will be writing to you about why I want to go on the horouta waka.

Reason 1:I would like to go on the Horouta waka because I can tell what direction the land is and what time it is by looking at the sun.

Reason 2:I like to fix things and I can swim down fast to save someone if they go overboard.

Reason 3:I can help tie up the sale in case the rope snaps and it goes Loose 

Reason 4:I know lots about fishing. I can fish for snapper Kawaii any fish you name I will catch. 

Reason 5:I know how to start a Fire to cook fish or any meat that is on the Waka.

Reason 6:I do Waka AMA if the sale tips over goes into the sea I can paddle.

Tairawhiti museum on birds that can fly.Rory Gifford.

Today the Unicorns went to the Tairawhiti museum and we learnet heaps about birds.

I learned that the Kaka bird is endangerded and is getting popular in wellington and there are only 10,000

kaka alive.I also learned that the Moa is extinct.

I enjoyed doing art of a Maori kite.I also enjoyed that we got to learn about different birds such as Kaka, huia and moa.

What I’ve got better at or improved upon. 

I have improved on the block graphs because last time I did the test I was confused on what I had to do.

What I still need to work on:

I have to improve on the pizza diagram because I was confused and didn’t know what to do.

What I enjoyed and what could be better. 

I really enjoyed doing the bar graph and I have to do better at understanding the question.
